Were looking for an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation and deliver outstanding food experiences that match the standards of a luxury boutique property in one of Scotlands most beautiful locations. This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with the General Manager and group support team to shape menus, standards, and the overall guest dining experience. The Role As Head Chef , you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events (as applicable). Youll lead, train, and inspire the brigade while maintaining strong commercial control and compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead the full kitchen operation, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency Create and develop seasonal menus aligned with a 5-star boutique guest experience Manage kitchen staffing, rotas, training, and performance development Maintain strong cost control: ordering, stock management, waste reduction, and GP targets Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety requirements Build strong supplier relationships and manage procurement effectively Work closely with front-of-house and management to deliver smooth service and guest satisfaction Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and high professional standards throughout the kitchen Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas to elevate the propertys reputation Essential Requirements Proven experience as a Head Chef (or strong Senior Sous ready to step up) in a 5-star hotel, luxury boutique property, or high-end restaurant Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent understanding of kitchen financials: GP, labour, stock, and budgeting Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen compliance standards Passion for high-quality produce, presentation, and guest experience Calm, organised approach under pressure and during busy services Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience 45-hour working week with flexible scheduling Accommodation can be provided if required Opportunity to shape the food offering at a prestigious boutique hotel Career development within an expanding hospitality group Stunning working environment in the Scottish Highlands Supportive management structure with cluster-level backing How to Apply Please send your CV and a covering letter outlining your relevant experience and salary expectations .
