We’re working with a well-established, growing London bakery group known for its quality-led approach and strong reputation across multiple sites. As the business continues to expand, they’re looking for experienced Head Bakers to join the team and take ownership within their kitchens.


This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where standards matter, the product is key, and no two days are the same. Flexibility is important, as shifts can include early starts and occasional late finishes.


The Roles

As a Head Baker, you’ll lead the bakery operation within your site, ensuring consistency, quality, and smooth day-to-day production.

You’ll be a key part of the leadership team, setting the tone on the floor and supporting the development of your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bakery production and operations
  • Ensure consistently high standards across all products
  • Lead, train, and develop your team of bakers
  • Manage production planning to meet demand
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
  • Support stock control, ordering, and waste management
  • Work closely with senior leadership on continuous improvement


About You

  • Proven experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker
  • Strong baking background across bread and pastries
  • Confident leading a team in a busy environment
  • Well organised with strong planning skills
  • Flexible with working hours, including early starts and some late finishes
  • Passionate about quality and developing others
