As Group Tax Manager, you'll support the Head of Tax across a full spectrum of tax compliance responsibilities for the UK group and overseas subsidiaries. You'll play a vital role in delivering Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and tax accounting outputs while acting as a key tax business partner on projects and advisory matters. You will lead tax compliance activities, oversee subsidiary tax reporting, manage UK Corporation Tax submissions, and support key governance processes across the Group. You will also provide tax expertise during major business initiatives and deputise for the Head of Tax where needed. Please note this is a 12 month FTC (Fixed Term Contract) role. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to move in‑house from Tax consultancy or newly qualified candidates. Responsibilities
Prepare UK Corporation Tax returns, including disallowable expenditure analysis and capital allowance claims. Prepare computations and CT600 forms using tax software. Oversee preparation of overseas subsidiary tax returns. Maintain transfer pricing / BEPS documentation. Prepare tax forecasts and manage cash tax payments. Prepare VAT returns for the UK group and oversee overseas VAT returns. Support preparation of P11D/P11D(b), PSA and ERS returns. Prepare current and deferred tax calculations for consolidated and subsidiary accounts. Maintain tax governance frameworks including Tax Strategy, Tax Policy, Risk Register and SAO documentation. Support relationships with HMRC, auditors and external advisers. Provide ad hoc tax advice for wider business projects. Act as a key point of contact for all tax matters. Lead implementation of new tax compliance processes and support strategic initiatives (e.g. system integrations).

Qualifications
Fully qualified tax professional (ACA or CTA). Degree-level education or equivalent experience. Knowledge of UK Corporation Tax and VAT. Experience preparing Corporation Tax and VAT returns. Experience in tax accounting and disclosures for consolidated groups. Excellent data management and numeracy skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively at all levels.
