Job Description

SRM Recruitment are supporting a FTSE listed client to recruit a Group FP&A Manager.


We are seeking a qualified ACA/CA/ACCA currently working in a practice environment (Big 4 or otherwise) with working in Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Financial Due Diligence or Valuations team (or similar) probably with around 2-3 years PQE.


Our client is a successful UK-listed Plc headquartered in London, with an excellent, high performing FP&A team. They focus on identifying candidates who relish and will thrive working in a fast paced and high pressure environment.


The role partners closely with divisional finance teams, senior Group stakeholders (including the Executive Management team and Board), and Investor Relations to support decision-making, ensure consistency between internal and external reporting, and drive improved financial performance.


Key Responsibilities:


Group Planning & Forecasting

  • Coordinate and consolidate the Group budget, forecast, and long-range plan across multiple business units.
  • Review divisional submissions, challenging assumptions and ensuring alignment with Group strategy and targets.
  • Support scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis for key risks and opportunities.


Performance Management & Analysis

  • Deliver high-quality Group performance analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
  • Analyse variances versus budget, forecast, prior year, and market expectations.
  • Identify key performance drivers and emerging trends across the Group.
  • Prepare clear and concise commentary for senior management, Executive Committee, and Board reporting.


PLC & External Reporting Support

  • Support the alignment between internal FP&A reporting and externally reported results, guidance, and disclosures.
  • Work closely with Investor Relations to support results presentations, analyst packs, and market queries.
  • Maintain an understanding of analyst expectations, consensus, and peer benchmarks.


Business Partnering

  • Act as a key interface between Group Finance and divisional FP&A teams.
  • Support senior stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis and insight to inform decision-making.
  • Promote best practice in FP&A processes, reporting, and performance management across the Group.


Governance, Controls & Continuous Improvement

  • Support improvements in planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, including automation and system enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development of FP&A capability within the Group.


The successful candidate will be/have:


  • A qualified ACA, CA or ACCA working within a professional services firm, likely at Manager level with a Transaction Services, Data Analytics, FDD or Deal Advisory team (circa 2-4 years PQE)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including developing and maintaining complex models and performing scenario analysis
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify key drivers and trends
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of how financial performance links to strategy
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and managing multiple priorities
