Group Financial Accountant

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Group Financial Accountant will manage the financial accounting function for Inspire Wellbeing Group. You’ll ensure timely, accurate financial transactions, lead audits, oversee statutory accounts preparation, and drive improvements in financial control processes. You will also manage and develop a team, fostering a high performance culture and supporting Inspire’s mission through strong financial governance. Ensuring the completeness of the financial transactions of the organisation are completed in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate back up. Processing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring these are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Reviewing and improving financial control processes within the organisation, including the completion of month end process within deadline. Ensuring the timely completion and submission of HMRC/Revenue returns, including VAT and Corporation tax. Work with the Assistant Director of Finance to develop and implement key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the financial accounting function for the organisation.
Skills and Qualifications
Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent). 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, in a large organisation with more than 250 employees on payroll. 2 years’ experience in a line management or supervisory capacity. Experience of preparing statutory accounts. Experience of financial control operations. Experience in accounting and financial systems. Experience in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel to Intermediate level or above.
