Group Financial Accountant

London (Hybrid)


We’re partnering with an ambitious, scaling property group in London to hire a Group Financial Accountant. This is a unique opportunity to join a business experiencing significant growth, where finance plays a central role in shaping strategic decisions.

The Role

As Group Financial Accountant, you’ll take ownership of group reporting, statutory accounts, and technical accounting, while partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide insight and drive performance.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking finance team with real visibility and progression opportunities.


Key Responsibilities


Technical & Statutory Reporting

  • Lead the preparation of group consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP)
  • Own the year-end audit process, acting as the key contact for external auditors
  • Prepare technical accounting papers on complex areas (e.g. leases, revenue recognition, acquisitions)
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls


Group Reporting & Control

  • Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations across the group
  • Maintain and enhance the fixed asset register and accounting policies
  • Support integration of new entities following acquisitions


Commercial & Strategic Exposure

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide insightful financial analysis
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes at a group level
  • Deliver variance analysis and performance commentary to leadership
  • Contribute to strategic projects, including investments, acquisitions, and portfolio performance


About You

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong grounding in financial reporting and technical accounting
  • Experience in audit or a group reporting role
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, curious, and keen to make an impact in a growing business
  • Real estate or property experience is a plus - but not essential.
