The Opportunity

We’re supporting a major, listed infrastructure and engineering business with a strong UK and international footprint. Delivering large-scale, high-impact projects across transport, energy, and civil engineering, the group combines long-term stability with ongoing investment and transformation.

As part of continued evolution within group finance, they are seeking a Group Finance Manager to take on a high-profile role at the centre of the organisation.

This position offers exposure to complex, multi-entity operations and senior stakeholders, alongside the opportunity to lead and develop a team within a well-established finance function.


The Role

Reporting into senior group finance leadership, you will play a key role in overseeing group reporting and ensuring the integrity of financial information across the organisation.


Key responsibilities include

  • Group Reporting: Lead the preparation and delivery of consolidated financial reporting for a large, listed group
  • Technical Accounting: Ownership of complex accounting areas, including IFRS compliance and group policies
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team, driving high standards and continuous improvement
  • Controls & Governance: Ensure robust financial controls and compliance within a regulated, plc environment
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior finance leadership, divisional teams, and external auditors
  • Projects & Transformation: Support finance transformation initiatives, systems improvements, and process enhancements

About You

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent), likely from a Big 4 / Top 10 background
  • Strong technical accounting and group reporting experience
  • Experience within a listed or large, complex organisation preferred
  • Proven ability to manage or mentor junior team members
  • Detail-oriented with a strong control mindset
