Finance Director | Global Payments & FX (Confidential) Location: Central London (Hybrid) Remuneration: £130,000 to £150,000 plus Performance Bonus and Executive Benefits Sector: Fintech / Foreign Exchange / Regulated Financial Service The Opportunity A market leading Global Payments and FX specialist is seeking a high calibre Finance Director to lead its financial operations. This is a board facing mandate within a firm that combines a 20 year industry pedigree with the technical agility of a modern Fintech scale up. This role is designed for a technically elite finance leader who excels in high stakes, regulated environments. Whether you are an accomplished Group Financial Controller looking to step up, or an established Director seeking a more complex international challenge, this position offers total ownership of a global financial architecture. The Mandate
Strategic Partnership: Act as the primary commercial advisor to the Board, providing decision support on international expansion, capital structure, and M&A activity. Global Financial Governance: Own the end to end reporting cycle for a multi jurisdictional group, ensuring best in class statutory accounts, complex group consolidations, and investor grade board packs. Regulatory & Treasury Oversight: Lead on FCA safeguarding, capital adequacy (IFPR), and CASS / E money compliance. You will manage high volume, multi currency treasury operations and maintain critical Tier 1 banking relationships. AI & Intelligence Transformation: Drive the function toward a Cognitive Finance model. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing AI and Machine Learning tools to automate high volume reconciliations, enhance predictive forecasting, and move the team from data processing to real time strategic insight. Leadership: Manage a high performing team of qualified accountants, fostering a culture of technical rigor and technological curiosity.
The Candidate Profile We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (ACA / ICAS) with a foundation in Big 4 audit and significant experience in regulated financial services.
Qualified Expert: 10+ years PQE with a deep understanding of IFRS and the financial plumbing of a global FX or Payments firm. Tech Visionary: You are an advocate for the Finance Function of the Future. You have a track record of leading major digital projects and a clear vision for how AI can be leveraged to drive departmental efficiency. Commercial Presence: You are more than a technical lead; you are a storyteller. You can translate complex financial data and regulatory shifts into actionable strategy for non financial stakeholders. Operational Agility: You thrive in environments that require both hands on technical problem solving and high level strategic thinking.
