Group Credit Manager Location: Middlesbrough (Fully Office Based)The Role We are recruiting for an experienced and reliable Group Credit Manager to take ownership of the credit control function for a well-established, multi-entity business. This is a hands-on leadership role based at the organisation's head office, with responsibility for overseeing the full credit lifecycle across the group.You will act as the senior escalation point for complex accounts, provide day-to-day leadership and support to the credit control team, and ensure that ledgers remain accurate and cash flow targets are consistently met. This role will suit someone with a proven background in driving strong collection performance while developing and motivating a team.Key Responsibilities Manage and support a team of Credit Controllers, setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and conducting regular reviews.Maintain full responsibility for aged debt across multiple entities, ensuring monthly cash collection targets are achieved.Personally manage high-value or sensitive accounts and oversee complex reconciliations requiring senior involvement.Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve escalated payment issues and prevent delays.Oversee referrals to third-party collection agencies and manage small claims court processes where required.Produce weekly and monthly debt reports for senior management, identifying risks, trends, and material variances.
