As a Group Cost Centre Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our Finance team and other Group departments. Your primary responsibility will be to provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic support to enhance decision‑making within these business units. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving financial performance. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Provide insightful analysis that links financial data to business strategies. Collaborate with department heads to interpret financial results and recommend corrective actions. Work closely with Group functional leaders to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual spending against budgeted amounts and identify areas for optimization. Assist in resource allocation decisions based on financial projections. Proactively engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and process improvements. Foster strong relationships to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Participate in strategic planning sessions, providing financial insights to guide long‑term initiatives. Evaluate investment proposals, assessing their financial viability and alignment with organizational goals. Support business cases for new projects, technologies, or marketing campaigns. Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls. Develop and maintain performance dashboards for Group Functions. Track KPIs related to project delivery, marketing campaigns, and technology investments. Provide actionable insights to drive performance improvements. Coordinate with other business partners (e.g., HR, Operations) to align financial strategies across the organization. Participate in other cross‑functional projects and initiatives.
Experience / Qualifications
Experience managing an FP&A cycle, with scrutiny and oversight of actuals reporting. Experience working with third‑party finance outsourcing partners. History of steering business decisions from a finance perspective. Experience developing business case templates and leading fact‑based discussions on investment decisions. Track record of driving change in an ambiguous and fast‑moving environment. Hands‑on approach to delivering results. Seeing recommendations through to realized benefits. Stakeholder management and resilience to overcome resistance.
