Group Accountant

We are seeking a promising Group Accountant to join a dynamic and growing Worcestershire family business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement. Key Responsibilities
Daily cashflow and bank monitoring, postings in Sage 50 and specific (ERP) Management accounts, P&L and balance sheets Payroll, VAT, and intercompany reconciliations. Advising directors on financial strategy and ensuring accuracy in audit and compliance processes. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across subsidiaries. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors. Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and systems.
Requirements
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent). Proven experience in an accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and consolidation processes. Excellent Excel and ERP system skills. Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Query and Sage 50.
