£38,000 – £42,000 Basic (DOE) + Overtime + Company van + Pension

Holt Recruitment are looking for the following on behalf of a specialist company operating within sports pitch construction, amenity, and environmental projects. Our work includes pitch installations, drainage systems, landscaping, and wider rural works such as fencing, access routes, and structural groundwork projects.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced operator with a strong background in plant and groundworks. This role would suit someone hands-on, reliable, and team-focused, who takes pride in delivering high-quality work across varied sites.

Responsibilities:
Carry out excavation, trenching, grading, and ground preparation
Install drainage systems and foundations
Complete concrete works including shuttering and finishing
Operate machinery such as 360 excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers
Use hand tools and small plant equipment safely
Conduct daily checks and basic maintenance on machinery
Follow site procedures and health & safety regulations
Support wider site activities including landscaping worksRequirements:
Minimum 3 years’ plant operating experience
Valid 360 Excavator ticket (CPCS/NPORS), including lifting ops
Full UK driving licence
Able to read and interpret site drawings
Strong awareness of health & safetyDesirable (Training available):
HGV licence (C1/C2)
Additional plant tickets
Amenity or landscaping experienceAdditional Information:
Enhanced DBS required
Overtime and weekend work available
40 hours/week (Nov–Feb) - 45 hours/week (Mar–Oct)This is a varied, long-term role offering consistent, year-round work across sports, landscaping, and rural projects.
