Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location : Exeter

Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am-4:30pm

Pay: £13.26

Role purpose: To assist in routine grounds maintenance operations (grass and hedge cutting, pruning, planting and weeding), as directed, throughout the district of East Devon.

Core accountabilities:

Grass cutting and strimming. Hedge pruning. Digging, bedding, planting and watering. Hoeing and weeding. Acting as sports attendant during weekends as required. Litter picking, removing graffiti, emptying bin, cleaning public restrooms when required. Support the provision of a customer focused service. Take personal responsibility for the relevant aspects Health and Safety of self and others when at work. Assist in the evaluation and management of risk within the service. Requirements of the role:

Be physically fit as the role is very physical

Have some grounds maintenance / cleaning experience

Able to work both as a team and on your own at times
