Job Summary:
The Grants Program Manager is responsible for the strategic implementation, oversight, and reporting of grant-funded programs within the Partners for Rural Transformation. This role ensures grant activities are aligned with organizational goals, are compliant with funder requirements, and deliver maximum impact for rural communities. The Grants Program Manager serves as a liaison between PRT leadership, Partner organizations, and funding entities, facilitating effective communication, tracking grant outcomes, and managing reporting requirements to maintain transparency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer full lifecycle grant management, including assisting with applications, managing compliance, execution, and closeout.
Collaborate with internal departments and PRT Partners to ensure grant deliverables, budgets, and milestones are achieved on schedule. Maintain accurate records and reporting systems; ensure data integrity for internal dashboards and external funder reports. Monitor grant budgets, reconcile expenditures, and provide timely updates to the VP of PRT Operations. Conduct regular check-ins with Partners to ensure program alignment and promote continuous improvement. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with funders, Partners, and community organizations to identify new opportunities and support current grants. Coordinate internal reviews of funding opportunities and lead grant proposal submissions as needed. Prepare and present monthly progress and financial reports, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment. Contribute to grant risk assessment and mitigation planning. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of PRT’s mission.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; in Public Administration, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field. Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in grant management, nonprofit program administration, or related field. Software Experience: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with grant or project management software . Skills:
Proven ability to manage grants and track program compliance. Excellent attention to detail and time management. Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for reporting and funder relations. Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and maintain effective relationships. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Social perceptiveness and service .
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Primarily a sedentary role, requiring extensive use of a computer. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. Occasional travel to remote sites, meetings, or conferences may be required. This is a remote position, working from a home office.
This position plays a critical role in the success and sustainability of PRT grant initiatives.
