Graduate / Assistant Transport Planner\n\nCentral Birmingham | Salary up to £34,000 + Benefits\n\nA fantastic opportunity has become available for a Graduate or Assistant Transport Planner to join a growing and well-established transport planning consultancy based in Central Birmingham.\n\nThis consultancy works on a wide range of development-led transport planning projects across the UK, supporting planning applications for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring in a motivated early-career transport planner to support their expanding Midlands team. \nThis role would suit either a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years' experience in transport planning who is looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will support senior consultants across a range of transport planning projects and gain exposure to the full development planning process.
\nTypical responsibilities will include:\n\nAssisting with Transport Assessments and Transport Statements\nSupporting the preparation of Travel Plans\nAssisting with traffic modelling and junction capacity assessments\nAnalysing transport data and preparing technical reports\nProducing technical drawings and supporting planning submissions\nLiaising with internal teams, clients and local authorities\nSupporting wider transport planning and development projects\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nDegree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline\nStrong analytical and report writing skills\nGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Office suite\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nInterest in development planning and transport infrastructure\nExposure to AutoCAD, ARCADY, PICADY or LINSIG would be advantageous but not essential\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nSalary up to £34,000 depending on experience\nClear career progression and structured development\nSupport towards professional development and chartership\nPension and additional company benefits\nCollaborative and supportive team environment\nIf you are a Graduate or Assistant Transport Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a growing consultancy, please apply or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.\n\nWill Herman \n (phone number removed) \n\nAldwych Consulting values and promotes equality.
