Graduate Structural Engineer\n\nLocation: Birmingham\nExperience: 2–5 years\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our structural engineering team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of building and commercial projects, supporting senior engineers in the analysis, design, and delivery of structural solutions from concept through to construction.\n\nThis position is ideal for an engineer seeking to develop strong technical capability while progressing towards professional chartership.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nStructural analysis and design of building structures using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber\n\nPreparation of structural calculations, technical reports, and design documentation\n\nProduction and coordination of structural drawings using industry-standard software\n\nAssisting with concept, detailed, and construction-stage designs\n\nLiaising with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders\n\nSupporting site queries, inspections, and technical reviews\n\nEnsuring designs comply with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes, and Building Regulations\n\nContributing to health & safety design under CDM Regulations\n\nRequirements\n\nDegree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)\n\n2–5 years’ experience in a structural engineering role\n\nExperience working on building or commercial structure projects\n\nGood understanding of structural design principles and UK standards\n\nFamiliarity with structural analysis and design software (e.g. ETABS, Tekla, Robot, STAAD, or similar)\n\nCompetence in AutoCAD and/or Revit\n\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills\n\nWorking towards ICE or IStructE chartership (or keen to do so)\n\nDesirable Skills\n\nExperience in BIM environments\n\nExposure to construction-stage support and site inspections\n\nKnowledge of sustainable or low-carbon structural design\n\nExperience working on multi-disciplinary projects\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\nStructured training and mentorship from senior engineers\n\nSupport towards professional chartership\n\nExposure to a wide range of building and commercial projects\n\nA collaborative and supportive working environment
