Recruitment Consultant – Life Sciences | Optimus Search

Optimus Search is an award-winning specialist recruitment business with a high-performing Life Sciences division, partnering with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology companies across Europe.

We are hiring ambitious, accountable Recruitment Consultants who want ownership of a market, exposure to complex, consultative sales, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in a technically advanced, future-focused industry.

Life Sciences experience is not required. Work ethic, energy and ambition are.


The Role

As a Recruitment Consultant within our Life Sciences division, you will manage full-cycle, high-value recruitment processes involving multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, and technically specialized talent.

This is not transactional sales. You will operate in a complex sales environment where success is driven by market knowledge, credibility, persistence, and the ability to influence senior decision-makers.

The role demands high accountability, consistent effort, and energy and rewards those who take ownership and execute.


Key Responsibilities

• Build and grow a defined Life Sciences market

• Win new clients through consultative, relationship-led sales

• Manage complex recruitment processes with senior stakeholders

• Source and engage specialist candidates in competitive markets

• Control processes end-to-end, from initial briefing to placement

• Maintain strong activity levels to create sustained momentum
