Your new company A well‑established construction contractor operating across the building and civil engineering sectors is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to begin their career with a respected organisation delivering a wide range of high‑profile building projects across the region.
Your new role You will support the commercial team in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from early stages through to completion. Working closely with senior surveyors, project managers, and site teams, you will assist with cost planning, measurement, procurement, valuations, and reporting. The role will involve preparing and reviewing documentation, monitoring project costs, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers, and helping ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements. As you develop, you will gain exposure on exciting building projects, allowing you to build a strong technical foundation and progress within the commercial function.
What you'll need to succeed You should hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline and have a genuine interest in developing a long‑term career within the commercial side of the industry. Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively and manage your workload effectively. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail will be key to your success. Previous placement or industry experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
