The Role...

As a Junior Project Manager at MTM Engineering, you will play an integral role in supporting project delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will allow you to work closely with experienced project managers and engineers, providing you with valuable insights into the lifecycle of electrical construction projects and helping to develop your skills in project planning, coordination, and execution.

MTM Engineering is a market leading specialist electrical contractor that provides medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) cable installation, termination services, busbar, and containment solutions for a wide range of construction projects. Headquartered in Ireland, we deliver mission critical projects for a range of customers across Europe and beyond. Our expertise spans industry sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, critical infrastructure, and more.

Responsibilities...

Support the Contracts Manager to ensure that projects are carried out on schedule and within budget

Assist with the development and agreement of project baselines

Liaise with site teams to confirm daily tasks, labour needs and set deadlines

Keep all stakeholders informed of progress, cost and any other relevant issues

Assist with ensuring adherence to the project execution plan to guarantee high quality standards

Provide technical support to the Project Teams

Engage with external consultants, contractors and ensure contractual compliance

Produce accurate, consistent and professional reports including KPIs and dashboards

Detect any potential risks and suggest/action remedies

Attend all relevant meetings

Chair and minute project review meetings

Keep detailed site records

Any other duties that may be assigned by your line manager

The Person...

A degree in Construction Engineering and Management or a related field

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

A flexible attitude with a willingness to travel for site visits in Ireland, the UK, and Europe, as required.

Some relevant work experience or internships in Project Management

A keen interest in working on large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the data centre and critical infrastructure sectors
