Job Purpose/Specification


We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Planner, to join our Planning team for intake in September 2026. As part of your graduate programme (year one) we offer a great opportunity to work within other divisions such as our Building Consultancy, Residential, and Commercial teams. Thus, we offer a true opportunity to understand the role of planning in the wider property world which will support the successful candidate to achieve Chartered RTPI status.


  • Undertaking planning duties, as directed by the Partners/Associate Partners of the Division
  • Supporting with the preparation of feasibility advice, policy representations, planning applications and planning appeals as well as liaising with planning officers, clients and third parties
  • Attendance at meetings, planning committees, pre and post application public consultations, as required


Person Specification


  • Some planning experience is desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, undertake research and manage time effectively
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate


We currently have a number of candidates enrolled on the APC pathway (with many successful passes over previous years and decades) and, thus, we will ensure you receive the right support to assist your journey in becoming a chartered planner (MRTPI).
