Graduate Mechanical Engineer | Oxford | £28,000 - £32,000pa plus a 4-day week every other & benefits:\n \n MARS Recruitment is exclusively recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a world leader in the design and manufacturing of scientific instrumentation. You will gain fantastic exposure to a highly technical team; you will have the opportunity to run your projects and will have the opportunity to (and will be encouraged to) work within their approved IMechE MPDS programme to achieve Chartered Engineer status.\n \n Only British , ILR or EU settlement apply, our client is not able to hire candidates on Visa’s or require sponsorship.\n \n This would really suit a Mechanical Engineering Graduate who wants to develop their experience on the design and drawing elements into the workplace. Areas of interest include thermal management, thermal and vibrational stability, ultra-high precision motion and ultra-high vacuum compatibility.
Your key responsibilities will be:\n \nMechanical concept design of high stability systems, involving high precision movements and control feedback. \nInterpreting customer requirements and translating them into cost effective and elegant solutions. \nParticipating in design and product review processes.
\nProviding back up calculations and analyses for proposed design solutions. \nCommunication with customers and assisting them in the development of solutions that will exceed their expectations. \nCommunication with vendors and subcontractors with the aim of identifying leading edge technologies, materials, and processes.
\nMaintain a flexible attitude and approach to changing priorities and requirements. About you:\n The successful Graduate Mechanical Engineer will need to be degree educated in Mechanical Engineering. The following experience and skills are essential criteria:\n \nA high level of enthusiasm for mechanical design and design analysis where the company will endeavour to develop the capability.
\nA professional approach to working with customers, work colleagues and management. \nExperience in using 3D modelling and CAD packages (e.g., Solid Edge) would be advantageous.
