 Desk study enquiries  On site investigation works including logging of samples, specialist sampling for geotechnical and analytical testing and supervision of contractors  On‐site monitoring and measurement Graduate Engineer, under direction from a Project Director/Manager, is responsible for carrying out:  Preparation of laboratory testing schedules  Preparation of factual and interpretative aspects of site investigation reports  Supervision and direction of specialist geotechnical/environmental/groundworks contractors and preparation of completion/validation reports  Qualitative and quantitative analysis of geotechnical and environmental designs including computer based analysis  Detailed design of geotechnical and environmental solutions including foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, remediation schemes, monitoring programmes
