Medical SummariserHammersmith9 Month Maternity Cover£15-£16 per hour (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)About the RoleOur client, a busy GP practice based in Hammersmith, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Summariser to join their team on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong clinical knowledge and experience using SystmOne to contribute to their patient care services.You will be responsible for reviewing and summarising patient medical records, ensuring accurate coding and documentation to maintain high standards of patient information management.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and summarise incoming patient medical records to a high standard within agreed timescalesExtract and code relevant clinical information using SNOMED CT codes (and Read codes/CTV3 where applicable)Produce comprehensive electronic summaries using the SystmOne clinical systemMaximise Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) points through accurate data extractionEnsure all work complies with data protection and confidentiality protocolsWork independently and as part of the wider clinical administrative teamEssential RequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience as a Medical Summariser within a GP practice or healthcare settingProficiency with SystmOne clinical systemStrong understanding of medical terminology and clinical coding (SNOMED CT/Read codes)Excellent attention to detail and organisational skillsValid mandatory training certificatesClean DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one)Ability to provide references covering the last 5 years of employmentImportant Information About ReferencesDue to the nature of the practice, our client requires references that cover your last 5 years of employment history.
