James Stevens Associates are delighted to be working with a highly commercial and recently recognized employer within the Social Housing Space. The organization is now looking to recruit a Governance Officer for their busy Governance team on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and coordinate Board and Committee meetings, including agenda planning, meeting pack production, and room setup.
  2. Prepare and distribute agendas, reports, minutes, and monitor action items.
  3. Write governance reports for the Group Executive, sub-Panels, Board, and Committees.
  4. Publish online written resolutions for Board consideration.
  5. Manage legal documents signing and recording, including land disposal or acquisition.
  6. Oversee statutory and regulatory returns, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
  7. Maintain statutory registers and monitor declarations of interest.
  8. Provide governance advice and support inductions, training, and development of Board and Committee members.
  9. Manage user access and system queries for governance software (Convene).
