We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Global Head of Compliance (GHC) to lead our global compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with complex regulatory environments and fostering trust with customers, regulators, and stakeholders.

Role Overview

The Global Head of Compliance (GHC) will oversee all compliance-related activities at Guidewire. As a preeminent cloud services provider and the world leader in insurance software, our customers expect and require ongoing and proactive expertise and consultation on regulatory compliance for all matters related to our cloud service offerings, including AI, data privacy, data residency, resilience transparency, and security.

This executive will ensure full adherence to international, federal, and local regulations while acting as a public and customer-facing representative for compliance matters. The GHC will collaborate across legal, risk, operations, and customer-facing teams to embed a culture of ethical compliance throughout the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as Guidewire's public and customer-facing executive for compliance-related matters.
2. Monitor, understand, and advise on regulatory trends, ensuring timely updates to our compliance programs and cloud service offerings in collaboration with our product team.
3. Partner in developing and enhancing compliance policies and procedures, especially related to our cloud services.
4. Lead global compliance training and awareness initiatives across all employee levels.
5. Partner with Internal Audit to conduct regular compliance audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
6. Collaborate with legal and internal departments to manage regulatory investigations, inquiries, and filings.
7. Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and industry associations on compliance developments.
8. Manage and develop a compliance management system (CMS), leveraging AI for automation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
9. Oversee all regulatory compliance needs of Guidewire.

Required Qualifications

1. 10+ years in compliance, regulatory, or legal leadership roles within the SaaS/cloud industry.
2. Experience engaging with customers and regulators, leading external compliance communications.
3. Strong understanding of country-specific resiliency, data sovereignty, privacy, corporate ethics, and other compliance topics relevant to a vertical SaaS provider.
4. Proven ability to develop and scale compliance programs in a multinational environment.
5. JD, LLM, or equivalent certification (e.g., CCEP, CCEP-I, CIPM) preferred.
6. Excellent communication and executive presence.
