Overview Geotechnical Project Manager – London Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Project Manager to join a well‑established site investigation and ground engineering consultancy, delivering a wide range of commercial and infrastructure projects across London and the surrounding areas. Responsibilities
Take full ownership of projects from tender through to completion, managing multiple schemes simultaneously. Oversee technical delivery, commercial performance, and client relationships, whilst leading site teams and junior engineers. Coordinate ground investigations and prepare/ review risk assessments and method statements. Ensure health and safety compliance throughout site works. Provide technical oversight of soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring programmes, contamination sampling strategies, and the production and review of factual and interpretative reports. Liaise closely with clients, drilling contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Apply commercial awareness – cost control, programme management, tendering and business development contributions.
Qualifications
5-10 years’ experience within geotechnical engineering/ground investigation. Strong project management and client‑facing experience. Experience managing site investigations and reviewing technical reports. Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Live within a commutable distance of Central London. Full UK driving licence. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
