We have recently partnered with a high achieving secondary school in East London that is seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to join their well-run Humanities Department from September 2026. Teachers and leaders at this large secondary school set high expectations for both staff and students, promoting academic excellence across all subjects and maintaining good behaviour. Educational excursions and trips are encouraged to supplement in-class learning with practical and immersive experiences.

In this role, you will teach across the full Geography curriculum at KS3 and KS4; the school is open to discussing KS5 teaching as well. The school uses the AQA exam board for both GCSE and A level, therefore curriculum knowledge in these areas would be beneficial. There is a KS3 TLR available for the right applicant who will lead on student engagement and support the continued growth of Geography as a popular GCSE and A level option.

To be considered for this role, you will:

Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have completed your ECT or NQT induction
Have a degree in Geography or a closely related subject
Foster positive relationships with your students, setting and maintaining high expectations
Demonstrate high standards of professionalism
Communicate clearly and confidently, verbally and in writing
Hold UK Right to Work
