Job Description

Position: Engineering Geologist\n\nLocation: Manchester (Hybrid working available)\n\nSalary: Up to £35,000 + benefits\n\nContract: Permanent, full-time\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are working with a respected consultancy seeking an Engineering Geologist to join their growing Birmingham team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a wide range of geotechnical and civil engineering projects while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Plan, manage, and undertake ground investigations.\n\n * \n\n Supervise drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.\n\n * \n\n Interpret geological, geotechnical, and environmental data.\n\n * \n\n Prepare factual and interpretative reports.\n\n * \n\n Support geotechnical design for foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures.\n\n * \n\n Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulators to ensure smooth project delivery.\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline.\n\n * \n\n Experience in site investigation and geotechnical engineering (postgraduate or industry).\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of UK geology and ground conditions.\n\n * \n\n Excellent report writing and communication skills.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience.\n\n * \n\n Hybrid working model (office and remote flexibility).\n\n * \n\n Professional development and support towards Chartership.\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects.\n\n * \n\n Collaborative team environment with clear career progression
