Responsibilities and duties of the Generator Service Engineer role Reporting to the Service Manager you will: Service, maintain and repair diesel generators on customer sites and in our Hampshire depotElectrical and mechanical fault findingCommissioning, load testing, and ATS configurationControl system diagnostics and modifications (e.g. Deep Sea, ComAp)Electrical installation fault findingProvide reports and recommendations for remedial worksProfessional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:3+ years in a similar generator service roleStrong knowledge of generator electrical systems (control panels, ATS, load banking, commissioning)Skilled in both mechanical and electrical diagnosticsWillingness to travel UK-wide with occasional overnight stays and out-of-hours workField based role Desirable:Experience with switchgear systemsECS/CSCS and other relevant electrical qualificationsOEM control system training (Deep Sea, ComAp, etc.)UPS Experience would be an advantage but not essential Personal skills The Senior Generator Service Engineer role would suit someone who is: Self-motivated and able to work independently on customer sites.
