I'm working on an exclusive search for an AI Engineer to join the AI team at a leading global hedge fund in London.


This is a hands-on engineering role sitting at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and live investment processes, building production-ready systems that directly impact trading and research.


The Role

You'll be responsible for designing and deploying AI systems end-to-end, with a focus on LLMs and their application to financial markets. Day-to-day, this means building scalable pipelines from research through to production, implementing agentic AI solutions (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, MCP connectors, multi-agent frameworks), and developing evaluation and monitoring frameworks for models in live environments. You'll work closely with portfolio managers and researchers to identify where AI can add the most value.


What They're Looking For

  • Science or Engineering degree from a leading university
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in financial markets, trading, or investment research
  • Familiarity with time series analysis and financial data
  • Full-stack proficiency: Python (backend) and React JS (frontend)
  • Experience with LLM inference APIs and agentic frameworks
  • AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure experience
