Skips R Us has established a strong market niche in the recycling of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste through our dedicated waste recycling facility. We are expanding and need more general operatives. The role will vary across our three divisions: skips, materials recovery facility, and biomass production. Role Requirements: Sorting recyclables on a material picking station. Baling plastic and cardboard. General yard duties. Working in a team environment to achieve shift goals. Flexible for occasional Saturday/weekend work. Undertake any training required to carry out the duties of the post. Encourage recycling materials within your area of work. Ensure the correct segregation of all the waste streams. Attention to detail and a positive and can-do attitude is a must. A good level of Health & Safety knowledge and experience. Ensuring that the standard of the yard and materials recovery facility is maintained and kept clean and tidy. Adhering to all Health and Safety compliance policies and procedures in place. Ensuring our business complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by your actions or omissions. Ability to take direction. Any other reasonable request by a supervisor / manager to assist with yard and facility activities.
