My client in Ramsey is looking for a reliable and motivated General operative to join their team. In this role, you will play a key part in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of bespoke retail display units. Full training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a commitment to producing high-quality results
Main Duties
* Working as a General Operative to fabricate and assemble units using various materials.
* Safely operating hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing.
* Interpreting technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Supporting occasional site work across the UK to install display units.
* Carrying out repairs and maintenance on displays as required.
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace.
Skills / Experience
* Previous workshop, carpentry, joinery, or transferable skills are desirable but not essential.
* Previous experience as a General Operative with previous skills.
* Ability to use tools safely and confidently.
* Reliability, flexibility, and a positive approach to teamwork.
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
* Flexibility to support overtime and site work when needed.
Hours & pay
Monday to Thursday
08:00 until 17:00
Friday
08:00 until 13:00
£13.00 - £14.00 per hour
