General Manager - Café

Location: Redcar
Contract: Fixed Term - 4 May to 31 August
Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 per annum (pro rata)
Responsible for the overall management of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, effective team leadership, and smooth day-to-day operations during the fixed-term period.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily café operations and maintain high service, food, and cleanliness standards
Lead, train, and manage staff, including rotas and performance
Control costs, stock levels, and wastage
Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety requirements
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally

Requirements

Experience managing a café or hospitality business
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Knowledge of food safety and health & safety legislation
