Position Overview General Manager – Prestigious Fine Dining Indian Restaurant, Edinburgh. Salary package circa £45,000 (including share of tronc, service charge and target‑led bonus). Weekly working hours up to 48 hours over 5 days (to be confirmed). Responsibilities
Oversee overall management and performance of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and profitable daily operations across front and back of house. Maintain exceptional service, food quality and operational standards, driving guest satisfaction through professional handling of feedback and issues. Manage staffing, training and compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations. Oversee budgeting, cost control and profitability, and accurate cash handling and financial reporting. Coordinate reservations, events and maintain strong supplier relationships. Collaborate with Directors, Head Chef and managers to implement business strategies and coordinate communication between kitchen and front of house teams.
Qualifications
Eligibility to live and work in the UK. UKVI‑compliant English literacy. Proven leadership in a premium restaurant environment, including financial and staff management. Minimum 3 years (ideally 5) of experience in a General Manager or senior restaurant management role. Relevant Health & Safety credentials and knowledge of HACCP protocols. Residence within commutable distance of up to one hour. Evidence of right to work in the UK (passport or equivalent) may be requested.
