Independent Pub | Restaurant | Hotel Berkshire Were looking for a passionate and experienced General Manager to join our vibrant and independently-run team at The Hinds Head a busy pub, restaurant and 15-room hotel in beautiful Berkshire. About Us Independently run and full of character 15 tastefully decorated guest rooms Small 35 cover function room frequented for pre and post-wedding celebrations, celebrations of life and more Built a strong local reputation over the last two years for exceptional food and warm, attentive service Incredible team culture its not just a clich, we really are like family Loyal locals and regulars who support us wholeheartedly The Role Full-time, 45 hours per week Pay dependent on experience You must have prior General Manager experience at a similar site, preferably with hotel experience but this is not crucial Lead daily operations of a busy hospitality business with multiple revenue streams (pub, restaurant, hotel, events) Maintain and build upon high standards of service, food quality and guest experience Continue to drive team development with a strong focus on service, cocktails and wine training Work closely with the Head Chef Develop seasonal drinks menus and cocktails maximising profit Help maximise service efficiency and guest satisfaction Plan and deliver memorable events that reflect your own creative input Supported by the outgoing GM who will transition into an Area Manager role Cash incentives for meeting targets to share with your team Free parking on-site Annual staff party Creative freedom and input into food & drink menus A genuinely rewarding role in a venue where your impact is visible and appreciated The start date for this role is flexible, so we are happy to work with your notice period.
