Due to continued success and the award of new contracts, they are expanding their maintenance division and are now recruiting General Maintenance Technicians to support a portfolio of retail sites across West London and surrounding areas.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that values its people, invests in training, and takes pride in delivering work to a high standard, first time, every time.\n\nCOMPANY USPNationwide Facilities Maintenance ExpertiseOur client provides comprehensive building and fabric maintenance services, covering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across multiple sectors.\n\nStrong Retail Sector PresenceThey support high-profile retail clients, delivering reliable and compliant maintenance solutions that ensure sites remain safe, operational, and presentable.\n\nPeople-Focused, Quality-DrivenWith a strong emphasis on health & safety, compliance, and professional development, the business promotes a supportive team culture and high standards of workmanship.\n\nJOB PURPOSEThe purpose of the role is to carry out a wide range of planned and reactive general maintenance tasks across multiple sites, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.\n\nThis is a mobile position covering locations including Feltham, Hayes, Heston, Hounslow, and Twickenham.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nDeliver PPM and reactive maintenance works within agreed SLAs\n\nCarry out general building fabric repairs and minor groundworks\n\nEnsure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations\n\nBuild strong working relationships with site teams and internal colleagues\n\nAccurately update and close jobs using the Mercury system\n\nAssess service call requests and complete works efficiently\n\nOrder, collect, and manage materials required for repair works\n\nIdentify issues beyond repair, carry out surveys, and escalate with recommendations\n\nKEY MAINTENANCE TASKS\nGeneral fabric maintenance:\n\nBasic joinery\n\nPainting and decorating\n\nBasic plumbing\n\nMinor floor repairs (tiling and vinyl)\n\nGroundworks and hard landscaping:\n\nSlab laying\n\nMinor brickwork repairs\n\nBlock paving and kerbs\n\nConcreting and tarmac repairs\n\nFencing works\n\nHVAC filter cleaning\n\nMaintain clear and accurate documentation\n\nWork collaboratively with the wider team to maintain site standards\n\nSKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDEssential:\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nGCSEs (or equivalent)\n\niPad / PC literate\n\nStrong knowledge of Health & Safety compliance\n\nAbility to carry out varied fabric and groundworks repairs to a high standard\n\nDesirable:\n\nNVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant trade\n\nMulti-skilled maintenance background\n\nGroundworks experience (channel drains, manholes, modular paving, concreting, tarmac, fencing)\n\nExperience within facilities management, retail, or public sector environments\n\nTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE\nSelf-motivated with a positive and professional attitude\n\nWell-organised, with the ability to plan workload and materials effectively\n\nConfident working independently and as part of a small team\n\nComfortable operating small plant and machinery\n\nThrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts to changing priorities\n\nProactive in identifying improvements and delivering high-quality work while maintaining site safety\n\nSALARY & BENEFITSPlease call Ant on (phone number removed) and please apply to this advert to to prompt a call back \n\nSalary: £32,421.43 per annum + Overtime\n\nContract: Permanent\n\nHours: 45 hours per week\n\nHoliday: 33 days annual leave\n\nPrivate pension scheme\n\nPrivate healthcare\n\nLife insurance\n\nEmployee discount schemes\n\nPlus additional company benefits
