Location - Wirral Hourly Rate -  £13.03 Hours per week -  37 hours and 30 minutes per week Location: You may be required to work at any location within the company, your base will be Hardknott Road. A current, full, UK driving licence is required for this role. The ability to drive a company vehicle which will be provided for business use only. Physical Conditions: Work is performed in standing and sitting positions. The work is undertaken indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. This role will also includes on call shifts. Core tasks: To carry out a variety of planned and reactive building maintenance tasked, which will be varied in nature and will include general building, hard/soft landscaping, joinery, tiling, painting, paving and external works, drainage and plumbing, as directed by the Estates & Facilities Manager, Maintenance & Projects Officer or Senior Maintenance Operative. To carry out planned preventative building maintenance in line with set programmes. To carry out repairs and/or replace all associated plumbing work where necessary. To repair or renew foul water pipes and drainage work and components. To report any faults or potential faults relating to water and heating systems To carry out small plumbing installations to include: bathroom/kitchen refurbishments, and the repair or renewal of non-gas or electrical components of heating systems. Undertake general facilities support tasks, including furniture building and furniture removals, grounds and site clearance, and keeping areas clean and tidy generally. Work individually or as part of a team to complete repair and maintenance tasks Ensure a safe environment for staff, people we support and visitors by carrying out regular checks and adhering to health and safety regulations. To comply with Health and Safety Guidelines and work instructions issued by Senior Management. Work with various different types of machinery and equipment. Report to the Head of Estates & Facilities or Estates & Facilities Supervisor, any other internal or external damage to the buildings, property or site. To liaise with outside contractors or inspectors when requested. Maintain accurate records with regard to ongoing building or grounds maintenance works. To undertake basic mandatory training and development training where deemed appropriate. You will be required to participate in on call duties on a weekly rota basis during weekday evenings and at weekends. In exceptional circumstances, the General Maintenance Operative may be called in during off duty hours, to help deal with an emergency.
