The Role

We are seeking a General Maintenance Operative to undertake general property maintenance, both planned and reactive, to a high standard, on the Estate and to properties around Cornwall. Training will be provided to achieve relevant tickets.

Duties include:

- General building maintenance, including carpentry, masonry, general building, and ground works.
- Maintenance of the water infrastructure systems on the estate and water maintenance.
- Routine/essential estate duties, e.g. refilling biomass boilers with wood chip, etc.
- Being a health and safety champion.
- Taking reasonable care for, and routinely inspecting, the works van, plant, power tools and access equipment.

About You

You will need:

- General building maintenance experience, including basic carpentry, masonry, outdoor plumbing, general building, and ground works, preferably with a trade qualification.
- Experience and confidence driving various estate vehicles and towing a trailer.
- Experience operating plant machinery, e.g. excavator, forklift, telehandler, cherry picker, etc., preferably with tickets.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport to travel to and from work, as we are in a rural location with no access to public transport.
