General Labourer

We are seeking General Labourers to support an upcoming rail telecoms survey project. The role will involve assisting telecoms engineers with survey activities, site preparation, equipment handling, and general labouring duties across rail infrastructure environments.
This position forms part of a project team conducting survey and installation preparation works, with opportunities to remain on further phases of work scheduled through to January 2027.

Key Responsibilities

Assist telecoms engineers with survey works on rail infrastructure

Support with handling and movement of tools, equipment, and materials

Maintain safe and tidy working areas

Assist with access equipment setup where required

Support with basic installation preparation activities

Follow rail safety procedures and site instructions

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Essential Requirements

All personnel must hold the following certifications:

Sentinel Card

PTS (Personal Track Safety)

ECS or CSCS Card

Additional Certifications

IPAF 1a, 1b

PASMA
Experience

Previous experience working within rail, telecoms, or construction environments

Experience supporting engineering or survey teams is desirable

Understanding of railway site safety procedures preferred

Working Conditions

Night shifts only (22:00 - 06:00)

Sunday to Thursday working pattern

Work will be carried out on live rail infrastructure sites

Strict adherence to rail safety standards is required
