General Labourer

Hours: Monday to Thursday

Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting General Labourers for a busy manufacturing client based in Thornaby. This role supports the production process by assisting with the movement and preparation of component parts ready for assembly, production, or painting.

Main Duties

Carrying out manual work to support the production process
Moving and preparing component parts for the next stage of production
Assisting departments including assembly, paint shop, and dispatch
Following work instructions and prioritising workloads
Using overhead pendant or remote-control cranes (experience preferred)
General manual handling duties
Maintaining high health & safety and quality standards

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Good understanding of health & safety practices
Ability to follow instructions and work to production targets
Good manual handling ability and dexterity
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role preferred
