Are you a motivated and innovative Dietitian looking to specialise in gastroenterology within a supportive and forward‑thinking team? We are excited to invite applications for a Band 6 Gastroenterology Dietitian to join our service at the Great Western Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, providing high‑quality dietetic care to both inpatients and outpatients with a wide range of gastroenterology conditions, including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, pancreatic disorders, liver disease and coeliac disease. The successful candidate will deliver individual assessments and interventions as well as group education sessions.

There are opportunities to be involved in—or lead—service development projects and audits, as well as contribute to teaching for the wider MDT and students. We offer excellent access to CPD, alongside peer support and ongoing professional development.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will work alongside other dietitians to provide and develop the dietetic service for patients with GI conditions in both the acute and community setting. This is a split post across acute and community activity.
They will work within agreed protocols and use these protocols to give specialist advice without gaining consent from consultant.
