An award-winning gastro pub in the heart of Woodbridge is recruiting a Gastro Pub Head Chef to lead its busy, high-quality kitchen operation. Set behind a beautiful 17th-century façade, this modern inn focuses on fresh, seasonal produce and consistently high standards.
The Gastro Pub Head Chef will work closely with the Sous Chef to maintain and drive standards forward while developing the kitchen team. This role suits an experienced Gastro Pub Head Chef with strong leadership skills and a passion for fresh food cooked to volume.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the kitchen team alongside the Sous Chef

Maintain and improve food quality and consistency

Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management
*
Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

Develop menus using fresh, seasonal local produce

Drive performance, standards, and team development
Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Gastro Pub Head Chef in a fresh-food, volume-led operation
*
Strong leadership, management, and financial understanding
*
Confident, self-motivated, and professional approach
*
Ability to cook to volume while maintaining quality
*
Stable career background preferred
