*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools. This role involves working with gas systems, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations while performing installations, maintenance, and repairs. The Gas Engineer will also be responsible for heavy lifting and assembling components as needed.
*Responsibilities*
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings.
* Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
* Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to perform tasks such as welding, plumbing, and assembly.
* Perform heavy lifting as required for the installation of equipment and components.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is .
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
* Experience in welding and plumbing is highly desirable.
* A valid commercial driving licence is an advantage for transportation of equipment.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
