Job Description

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a heating contractor operating within the local authority sector.\n\nThey require self-employed heating engineers for an ongoing contract with a local housing association.\n\nContract Details:\n\nLocation: Birmingham\nContract: Housing Association\nWork Type: Landlord Gas Safety Checks and Central Heating Repairs\nCommitment: Minimum 3 days per week\nContract Length: Ongoing\nPayment terms: Weekly one week in arrears.\n\nRates:\n\n * £23.48 per Landlord Gas Safety Record\n\n * £30.44 per repair (parts provided)\n\n * Plus winter incentive of £40.00 per day if engineer commits to 5 days per week (additional £200.00 per week) effective until end of February 2026\n\nKey Benefits:\n\n * Work within a small radius\n\n * Weekly pay – no chasing invoices\n\n * Monday to Friday (part-time min. 3 days per week commitment can be accommodated)\n\n * All appointments pre-booked via the client's PDA system.\n\n * Full PPE and kit provided.\n\n * Long-term ongoing contract\n\nRequirements:\n\n * 2 years of qualified experience as a heating engineer\n\n * ACS Qualifications including CKR1 (Gas Cookers) & HTR1 (Gas Fires)\n\n * Side Van (plain or sign written)\n\n * Gas Safe Registration\n\n * Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser\n\n * £2m Public Liability Insurance\n\n * No unspent criminal convictions\n\nPlease apply using an up to date CV and one of the team will be in touch
