Job Description
The Opportunity\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a Garden Maintenance Team Leader based in London. This is a full time permanent position with a salary of £35,000 to £45,000 per year DOE. The role requires travel across Central London and surrounding premium domestic and commercial sites.
A company van is provided and can be kept at home as you will start from home each day, with a weekly visit to the yard to collect materials. The start date is ASAP.\n\nThis role is ideal for an experienced garden maintenance professional who is ready to take the lead across a varied portfolio of high quality sites. You will guide the on site team, maintain excellent standards, and ensure strong presentation and client service at all times.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nCarrying out general garden maintenance across premium indoor and outdoor sites including watering planting annuals and bulbs pruning, irrigation, lawn care and overall garden development\nEnsuring gardens are maintained to a consistently high standard with strong attention to detail\nLeading by example on site and supporting the training and development of maintenance staff\nDelivering excellent customer service and responding professionally to client queries\nCompleting daily electronic job sheets clearly noting work completed and next steps\nWorking independently when required and collaboratively with operations teams and designers\nUsing initiative to plan daily tasks efficiently and manage time across multiple sites\nUpholding Health and Safety standards on every site and ensuring safe working practices within the team \n\nRequirements\n\nFull clean UK driving licence essential and confidence driving a company van\nRight to live and work in the UK\nPA1 and PA6 certificates required\nMinimum two years recent industry experience with strong knowledge of planting, pruning pest and disease control irrigation seasonal tasks and lawn care\nPrevious team leader experience or readiness to step up into a leading role\nCSCS card desirable\nRecognised horticultural qualification desirable ideally RHS Level 2 or equivalent experience \n\nSkills and Qualities\n\nStrong horticultural knowledge and practical maintenance ability\nConfident leading motivating and supporting a small team on site\nExcellent communication skills with client's, colleagues and designers\nHighly organised with good time management\nProactive can do attitude with the ability to use initiative\nKeen eye for detail and pride in high quality presentation\nReliable professional and comfortable working across multiple locations \n\nWhat's On Offer\n\nSalary £35,000 to £45,000 per year depending on experience\nCompany van provided and kept at home for daily start from home working\nFull time permanent role with working hours typically 07:30 to 16:30 or 17:00 Monday to Friday\nWeekly yard visit included for stocking up on materials\nOpportunity to work on a range of premium garden sites across London\nTraining support and development opportunities for the right candidate \n\nHow to Apply\n\nThis role is being recruited by Halmer Group on behalf of our client.
