Full-Time | Full Class ResponsibilityStart: Term 5 (April 2026) - End of Term 6 (July 2026)
Are you an enthusiastic, dedicated primary teacher ready to take on a rewarding upper-KS2 role?
A welcoming and supportive primary school in BS15 is seeking an experienced teacher to lead their Year 5/6 class through the summer terms.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact as pupils prepare for the transition into secondary school.
The Role In this full-responsibility position, you will:
Teach and lead a mixed Year 5/6 class
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Support pupils' academic progress and wellbeing
Prepare Year 6 pupils for end-of-year expectations
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and wider staff
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Contribute to the wider school community
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong experience within upper KS2 (Year 5/6 preferred)
Confident classroom and behaviour management
Ability to hit the ground running with planning and assessment
A creative, resilient, and organised practitioner
Commitment to school values and pupil wellbeing
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
