SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

About the Role
A caring and inclusive primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role involves providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the classroom.

Your Responsibilities
Providing 1:1 or small-group SEN support
Implementing targeted learning strategies under teacher/ SENCO guidance
Supporting pupils with a range of needs, such as ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH, or learning delays
Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour
Assisting with classroom routines and personalised learning plans
Promoting independence, engagement, and wellbeing
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based preferred)
Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow personalised support plans
Reliability and commitment to Monday–Friday, 08:45am–3:30pm
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
