Fresh Produce – Fruit Sales / Buying Professionals

We’re looking for a sharp, well‑connected Fresh Produce professional to drive sales, procurement, trading for Key Company Accounts.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected fresh produce business with a strong global grower network and diverse supply base. The company maintains long-standing relationships with UK retailers and multiples, supplying a wide range of fresh fruit categories. It is recognised for its reliability, quality, and agility within a fast-moving market.

Positioned at the heart of the fresh produce supply chain, you will work closely with importers, growers, retailers, and key supply partners. The role requires a proactive individual who can leverage both existing supply lines and personal market insight to drive profitable trading activity.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Trading

Buy and sell fresh produce across UK and EU markets

Identify and execute spot-buying opportunities

Manage pricing, margins, and commercial negotiations

Maintain strong communication with importers, distributors, and customers

Procurement & Supply

Work closely with global growers and supply partners

Ensure continuity of supply and consistent product quality

Manage seasonal programmes and forecast requirements

Support internal teams with availability and supply planning

Account Management

Build and manage relationships with UK retailers, category managers, and wholesale customers

Develop new business opportunities and commercial channels

Provide market insights, category updates, and performance reporting

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in fresh produce trading, procurement, or sales

Strong network across growers, importers, and/or UK retail

Ability to make quick, commercially sound decisions

Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills

Solid understanding of supply chain dynamics, seasonality, and product quality

A proactive, energetic, and commercially driven mindset

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, trading environment
