*20 WEEK PROJECT - MOD NEW BUILD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - SECURITY CLEARANCE MAY BE REQUIRED * We're Hiring: Freelance Design Manager Location: Cumbria (Northwest) Sectors: MOD New build Day rate: Can be discussed Duration: 20 weeks We are looking for a Freelance Design manager for a MOD new build project based in the Northwest (Cumbria). Starting as soon as possible we need a Design Manager experienced in MOD projects and new build developments. This is a 20 week project supporting the delivery of a high-profile government facility. Key Responsibilities of the Freelance Design Manager: Manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to delivery. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure design information is issued accurately and on programme. Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements, security standards, and buildability. Lead design team meetings and manage the flow of information between stakeholders. Work closely with site and commercial teams to resolve design issues and maintain project progress. Ensure design solutions meet MOD and secure facility requirements. Required Qualifications/Experience as a Freelance Design Manager:
