Forklift Operator

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our metal recycling facility. The operator will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, sort, and load scrap metal. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced recycling environment. Key Responsibilities. Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move metal materials, scrap, stock, containers, and goods around the facility.
Load and unload deliveries of scrap metal, raw materials, and finished loads from vehicles and containers.
Stack and position materials safely to maximise yard space and support workflow.
Assist in sorting and organising materials by type and grade as directed by yard supervisors
Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE (hard hat, high-visibility clothing, safety boots).
